Music & Worship

Preschool - 6th Grade Choir

Our children’s choirs meet each Wednesday from 5:30-6:20 pm

  • - Preschool/1st Grade Choir
  • - Director: Susie Cochran
  • - 2nd – 6th Grade Choir
  • - Director: Laura Sharp

These groups meet during the school year from August through May.

Our children’s choirs occasionally sing during the Sunday worship services. We also have had opportunities to sing in and around the community. In the spring we close out the season with a musical.

Student Arts

For students in grades 7-12th we have our student arts program which includes choir, drama, and puppets. Our Sunday schedule is as follows:

  • 1:15 to 2:15 PM - Student Choir
  • 2:15 to 3:00 PM – Puppets

Occasionally we perform in local churches on Sunday nights.  We also take summer mission trips.  In past years, this group has gone to such places as Boston; Charleston, South Carolina, Chicago, Toronto, Canada, Gallup, New Mexico, and Arizona.

Sanctuary Choir

The Sanctuary Choir ministers each week during Sunday worship services. In addition, the choir presents two productions annually – Christmas Praise, and the Ellijay Passion Play.

Two (2) Weekly Rehearsal Options:

Wednesday: 6:45 - 8:15 pm in the main sanctuary.

Sunday:  2:15 - 3:15 pm in the choir room.

We invite new members to come and join us.

Our orchestra meets each Wednesday 5:30 pm in the main sanctuary. Under the direction of Scott Eaton, the orchestra plays each Sunday for worship and accompanies the Sanctuary Choir. Players should be able to play at high school level.

Contact Scott Eaton for an audition time.

Praise Team

An auditioned group made up of members from the Sanctuary Choir, the Praise Team leads in the worship services each Sunday.

Media Ministry

Our Media Team works as a support unit in several ways in the life of our church.

Each Sunday the Media Ministry strives to serve as a team in the areas of TV broadcasting, sound, and video projection. We are always looking for individuals who have interests in audio, camera operation, computer graphics, editing, and CD / DVD duplication.
